Correspondence with CIB to arrest a person involved in digital currency trading

            The Ministry of Industry has written to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) to arrest five digital currency dealers, including Pi Network. The Department of Commerce, Supplies, and Consumer Protection under the ministry has written to the CIB asking them to arrest them and assist in the investigation.

The department has stated that such networks are illegally defrauding Nepalese in the country and abroad. The letter said that the matter is being studied and the CIB has been requested to arrest the responsible person of the company and bring him before the department for further investigation.

In the letter, the department has requested to arrest Govind Shrestha, Ashok Neupane, and Ratnakaji Shrestha of One Coin Digital Currency, Gyanendra Khadka, and Krishna Kumar Maharjan of Excel Token, Vijay Shah and Dinesh Shah of Cash Coin, and Parmananda Shrestha of Pi Network.
