Kathmandu, November 12:
Police have arrested four people on Saturday evening along with 468 grams of illegal Yarsagumba-like items. Among the arrested is 55-year-old Sher Bahadur Thapa of Surkhet Barahatal Gaonpalika-5 of Sukedhara, Kathmandu, 22-year-old Himal Gurung of Sankhuwasabha Chainpur Nagarpalika-2 of Budhanilkantha Municipality-10 and Sindhuli Dudhauli Municipality-6 of Gokarnashwor Municipality-5 Jorpati. Bishal Pariyar, 24, and Sunil Tamang, 59, of Ramechhap Himganga Gaonpalika-7, Makalbari of Gokarnashwor Municipality-4, Kathmandu.
Bishal and Sunil were arrested by the Metropolitan Police Circle Boudha on the basis of information that Yarsagumba was being sold illegally in Gokarneshwor Municipality-6, Narayantar.
After further investigation, they said that the item was given to them by Sher Bahadur. After finding the item hidden in Sher Bahadur's room under the coordination of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajganj, the police arrested Sher Bahadur. Himal, who had given the item to Sher Bahadur, was found in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4, Sukedhara, and arrested by the police. The recovered items have been sent to the Forest Office, Hattisar Naxal for necessary investigation, according to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Boudha.
