One arrested with banned drugs from Nagdhunga checkpoint


Kathmandu, 28th Chaitra 2077:
Kathmandu District Chandragiri Municipality Ward No. 2 police team deployed from Nagdhunga Metropolitan Police Division at a checkpoint at Nagdhunga has arrested a passenger with banned drugs while conducting a check on Chaitra 27, 2077 at around 6:30 pm. District Bara Kalaiya sub-municipal ward no.4 the age of Aasraya Alam has been arrested.


While checking the bus (Na 8 Kha 7195) heading to Kathmandu from Birgunj, the police team checked the black and red bag brought by Alam who was traveling in seat B-8 of the same bus. A total of 900 ampoules of banned drugs including 300 ampoules of DIAZEPAM, 300 ampoules of PHENERGAN, and 300 ampoules of NOOPHIN were found.

According to the Metropolitan Police Division, Nagdhunga, Alam was arrested along with the banned drugs and is being investigated under the Drug Control Act 2033 BS.
