Police have arrested five persons on the charge of vandalizing a temporary police post at Dharan Sub-metropolitan-15 New Bus Park. Among the arrested are Bikram Rai, 24, of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan -5, Sijan Rai, 27, of the same Sub-Metropolitan -3, and Kalu alias Saroj Limbu, 26, of the same Sub-Metropolitan -4.
The deceased have been identified as Basanta Rai, 30, of Sub-Metropolitan -4 and Regan Limbu, 32, of Sub-Metropolitan -15. Among them, Bikram, Sijan, and Saroj were arrested from Deurali of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan -5 on May 3 and Basanta and Regan were arrested from Dhankuta Chhathar Pokhari-4 on Monday.
Police from the District Police Office, Sunsari, with the help of the Morang, Terhathum, and Dhankuta Police Offices and the State Police Bureau No. 1, have arrested five of the 10 people involved in the incident.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, a case has been registered against them in the Sunsari District Court for further investigation.
