Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan, a legendary figure in the film industry, has once again made headlines as he undergoes angioplasty surgery. The 81-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital on Friday morning, under tight security measures.

According to reports from Indian media, Bachchan's hospitalization comes as a result of health concerns, prompting the need for a surgical procedure. Taking to Twitter, Amitabh expressed his gratitude, stating, "Thank you always," a gesture believed to be directed at his well-wishers. Sources suggest that his health is now stable following the surgery.

This isn't the first time Amitabh Bachchan has faced health challenges. In 2022, during the filming of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14,' he suffered an injury to his leg, resulting in significant blood loss and requiring immediate medical attention.

In 2020, Bachchan revealed that he had contracted COVID-19, leading to a two-month-long hospitalization for treatment. Despite his recovery, he faced another bout of COVID-19 in 2022, underscoring the ongoing health risks posed by the pandemic.

Over the years, Bachchan has encountered various health issues, including an injury to his shoulder during the filming of 'Thugs of Hindustan' in 2018. While the injury wasn't severe, it highlights the physical demands of his craft and his determination to perform his own stunts.

In 2000, Bachchan was diagnosed with hepatitis B, a condition believed to have stemmed from a blood transfusion following a severe accident on the sets of the film 'Coolie.' The accident resulted in a rush of blood donors, with Bachchan receiving 60 bottles of blood from 200 donors.

That same year, Bachchan underwent bowel surgery after experiencing severe stomach pain. The surgery was prompted by a bowel problem, further adding to his medical history.

Even before these incidents, Bachchan had battled liver problems and asthma. Following the accident on the set of 'Coolie,' he developed pneumonia, complicating his recovery process. Treatment in Bangalore was followed by further care in Mumbai, highlighting the severity of his health challenges.

Despite these setbacks, Amitabh Bachchan has continued a resilient figure, continuing to grace the silver screen with his iconic performances. As he undergoes yet another medical procedure, fans worldwide send their well-wishes for his speedy recovery, hoping to see the legendary actor back in the spotlight soon.
